Important Clarification

This guide is NOT designed to teach a step-by-step back facial protocol, as licensed professionals should already have foundational knowledge from school and within their scope of practice.

Instead, this training focuses on positioning, comfort, workflow integration, and service execution.

Some clients prefer beginning face down with the halo water flow hitting the back of the neck during the back facial before transitioning into a traditional head spa. Others prefer turning over afterward for the traditional head spa portion.

The included headrest modification video alone is extremely valuable, demonstrating multiple positioning and pillow placement options for different body types, comfort levels, and setup needs. For example, larger clients may require alternative pillow positioning for additional comfort and support during face-down services.

If you already own a plumbed head spa system, this setup can typically be executed with approximately $100 in additional materials depending on your current setup.

While designed specifically for plumbed head spa systems, many concepts may also be adapted for portable setups.
